Brian is not as bad as a Honda punk because he drives an Acura Integra, but it still has a Honda engine.  The Acura Integra has about 7 more horse power than a stock 1G NT and since they're both FWD, he's a good guy to race around with.  He'll still beat my NT by a tad in a heated race, but he can't get away from me and visa versa so he's okay in my book.  Racing him in my Turbo AWD is actually not much fun because something inside him tells him that if he tries enough he just might get me one day.  "Never give up, never surrender".  I think Buzz Lightyear might have a commendation for Brian.

Brian is secretly working at conquering the world and is building up a stash of Honda goodies to unleash upon the masses.  He doesn't want us to know, but we snuck into his garage after he passed out from playing quarters with us to see what he's got going on.  We found the following: VTEC ECU, intrument cluster with a 9000 RPM tach, fuel mods, piston rings, a killer exhaust header, new intake, VTEC head and cams and adjustable cam gears.  You think we would be nervous, but he will never hang with the turbo.  Don't tell him we know, he still thinks it's a secret.

Ever play a joke on someone when they're passed out?  We did.  Brian woke up, grabbed a beer, started asking where we were at and ended up walking out to the garage.  Brain's face when he realized what we were doing to his car.  By then it was too late, we already started his VTEC upgrade.  The old head, and the new VTEC head.  The old valves look good and so do the cylinder walls for a car with 160,000 plus miles.  Old and new pistonsCrank journals look good.  Knock the new pistons in and salute the night with a few "Buds".  I'm still not certain if Brian is pissed or pleased, at least he has a car he can borrow for a few more days.  Merry Christmas Brian!

Finally finished Brian's VTEC upgrade.  Had to run two new wires to the new ECU with some donor pins from another wiring harness, make an oil pick up screen gasket from card board, a head oil path bypass hose and block off and a few other minor modifications to get the oil and check engine lights to go away.  It was done, no ECU codes, no dash lights, no funny noises and Brian drove it home.  Haven't heard from him since.  That killer header I was so proud of ended up being a bigger pain than it was worth so it was scrapped.  I plan to use it for New Years fireworks as a launch pad for many cool exploding things.  For now the stock manifold is back on the engine.  Picture of engine compartment.

Got some pictures of Brian's car. (Click thumbnail for full image).

We were all racing up the Beltway at around 130 MPH and Brian hit 8000 RPM in 4th and poof, lots of white smoke.  Two blown (actually melted) pistons.  Bad news.  The rebuild is in progress.

Brian finally gets around to rebuilding the engine.  After pressing the wrist pins, one piston got crushed on one side and was out of round and would not fit into the block.  So for the time being, Brian has a 3 cylinder.
