Finally caught up with Alex to get some photos for the website and what a perfect time. A complete engine rebuild. Now Alex is the epitome of Honda. Lots of stickers, flashy looks and a big airplane wing to boot. Actually, Alex has a real nice looking car. His latest engine rebuild is the result of winning a race with a V8 pickup truck after a bad head rebuild which caused him to use 2 quarts of oil almost every day. Seems the valve seals were not the right ones and oil was leaking into the combustion chamber at a ridiculous rate eventually leading to hydro lock and oil starvation. One of the piston wrist pins seized causing the piston to wobble back and forth with every rotation causing some serious scarring on the Teflon coated cylinder walls. The rod bearings didn't look too good either. The crank bearings weren't too bad, but there is some abnormal wear on two of them. The three stooges wonder what they should do about all this. Gonzo says the VTEC will live again. Hope they remember where all those hoses go.
